Posted Feb 11, 2022Nope. Think of it like this. The gas is magical, summoned from nothingness, and as soon as the damage is done, the gas vanishes in the same way it appeared. Sure you could try to aim it into a bottle and cool it fast enough to liquify it, but within seconds you'll just have an empty bottle anyway, as the magic dissipates.

Posted Dec 15, 2022Your Spell Save DC: 8 + Your Spellcasting Ability Modifier + Your Proficiency Bonus
So for a level 1 Wizard with 16 (+3 modifier) Intelligence it would be 8 + 3 + 2 (your proficiency bonus at 1st level).

Posted May 6, 2023Not a first choice of a conbat cantrip. Sure, the damage die is nice and big, but the range is uncomfortably short for a wizard or sorcerer, and a lot of things have immunity or resistance to poison. Not too bad for a druid, perhaps, who may be tank-y enough to stand near the front line. Anyone have any builds for which this would be a really good choice?

Posted Jul 28, 2023I wish this would create a lingering cloud of minor damage. That would be so cool.

Posted Feb 25, 2024When the creature fails to save, does the damage include the Poisoned Condition plus the 1d12 poison damage?

Posted Mar 1, 2024No, this spell does not apply the poisoned condition. If it did, it would say that in the description.
