Bless Item

This ancient enchantment is responsible for many of the enhanced items found throughout the world. It requires quite a number of expensive gems as well as time, but it is safe to say the product is worth the time and effort. The enchanter chooses a weapon or piece of armor, over the course of the next month they spend a minimum of 8 hours each day working on the item. If the time or work is disrupted during the month, the enchantment fails, and the gems are destroyed in the process.

At the end of the month, the item becomes a +1 variant of it. 

This spell can be upcast, but the time, and amount/quality of gems changes depending on level.
