The spell makes it so a giant black widow is summoned, this spider is linked to you and will followe any orders it receives, as long as you have Arachnid Talk which makes it so the spiders understand your commands. You have full control of this spider, unless it goes out the 30 feet and then it disappears which causes you to wait an action in order to try again, it also dispells when it is destroyed.
