Vivid Nightmare

Choose a Large or smaller target within range. You weave together shadow stuff to create an exact duplicate of it, which appears in an unoccupied space within 10 ft of you. The duplicate is an exact copy of the target at the time of summoning (expended spells or abilities are still unusable).

The duplicate has the following traits:

• Has the same ability scores as the target.
• If it has class abilities it cannot use class abilities except for Extra Attack, Rage, Sneak attack, Bardic Inspiration, Spell casting,  and Ki Points. These are used at the same level as the target.
• If it has Special traits it can use any of them.
• Cannot cast spells of 6th level or higher. The Duplicate cannot regain spell slots, and has no costly material components.
• It retains any bonuses to Hit, Damage, AC, Saving throws, and Skills due to magic items, but any other effects cannot be used. Magic items that can be used as normal items retain that usability.
• It has Blind sight out to a range of 60 ft, and is blind beyond this range, and always knows where the target is.
• The Duplicate behaves in a way to kill the target as the target would.
• It has half the max health as the target, and cannot regain HP or gain temporary HP.

The spell ends early if the Duplicate kills the target, or the duplicate is dispelled, or the Duplicate is killed.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this with a 6th level spell slot or higher, increase the number of targets by one for every other spell slot level above 5. Additionally, increase the duplicates HP by 5 for every spell slot above 5.
