Blighted Companion

You gain the service of a twig blight, which appears in an unoccupied space within range.

The creature acts independently of you, but it always obeys your commands. In combat, it rolls its own initiative and acts on its own turn. It can take the attack action on its own against anyone it perceives as a threat to itself or to you.  

When it drops to 0 hit points it disappears, leaving behind no physical form. It reappears after you cast this spell again.

The creature understands whatever languages you speak, but cannot speak to you unless you can otherwise speak to plants.  There is no telepathic connection.

You may have a number of twig blights equal to your proficiency bonus. If you cast this spell while you already that many, the oldest one you have will dissipate harmlessly into ashes.

Finally, if you have multiple twig blight companions you must issue the same command to them all, and they will all act together on a single initiative.
