On a successful hit, the target must make a Constitution saving throw against a DC of 12 + the caster's spellcasting ability modifier. On a failed save, the target suffers 1d6 poison damage and becomes poisoned for 1 minute. The poison damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 9th level (3d6), 13th level (4d6), and 17th level (5d6).
