Your body becomes pure electricity as you jettison forward, moving up to 30 feet in a straight line. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks. Each creature in your path and within 5 feet of either side of your path must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 4d8 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. A creature that is wearing metal armor, wielding a weapon made of metal, or otherwise carrying metal objects that are not insulated (such as wrapped in leather or are not stored in a bag or pouch) has disadvantage on the saving throw.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd.
