You create a wall of swirling, cacophonous sound at a point you choose within range. You can make the wall up to 60ft long, 20ft high, and 5ft thick, or a ringed wall up to 20ft in diameter, 20ft high, and 5ft thick. The wall remains in place for the duration.
When the wall appears, each creature within its area must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 3d8 thunder damage and is pushed 10 feet away and knocked prone, or half as much damage and pushed to the edge of the wall on a successful save.
A creature that enters the wall for the first time on a turn or ends its turn within the wall must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 3d8 thunder damage, is deafened for 1 minute, and pushed back 10 feet and knocked prone. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and isn't deafened.
The wall is transparent, but sound cannot pass through it, and spells cannot be cast through it. Creatures are deafened while they are within 5 feet of the wall, unable to hear anything over the cacophony.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd.
