Cold energy coming in from spells or weapon attacks can be harnessed and refocused. You have resistance to cold damage until the start of your next turn. Also, the first time you hit with a melee or ranged attack on your next turn, the target takes an extra 2d6 cold damage and the spell ends.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the extra cold damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.
