The surface or up to two creatures you are touching becomes a ward. While you are casting the spell the ward displays a blue light in a runic shape. this rune can have any shape you desire. If the surface is that of a small object smaller than 10 cubic ft. then the rune covers the whole surface, if the object is larger than 10 cubic ft. it covers a circle shape on the surface of the object with a radius of 10ft, only this circle shape is considered to be the ward. The rune covers the whole size of the creature regardless if it's larger than 10 cubic ft.
When casting is complete the rune turns invisible, if the creature is sleeping or incapacitated in any other way it is unaware of the fact that it is a ward, and a sphere gets created instantly with the wards location as it's center. The sphere does not move with the ward. Only you can pass through the sphere along with two creatures of your choice, chosen at casting time. Only the objects (clothing, weapons, ...) that you were holding while leaving the sphere can enter the sphere once again, any new objects get left behind. Any other creature inside or outside of the sphere that is on the same plane as the sphere cannot pass through the sphere unless it moves through parts of the sphere that have been destroyed.
When the ward is destroyed the shield also gets destroyed and the spell is dispelled. In case of a surface being the ward: only the part of the surface that is covered with runes needs to be destroyed. In case of a creature being the ward: that creature has to be killed. In case of multiple creatures being the ward: both creatures have to be killed. Resurrecting a ward after killing him does not bring back the shield. If the ward moves out of the shield the shield also gets destroyed and the spell is dispelled. When the ward consists of multiple creatures both have to be outside of the shield.
You can move the ward at will while you're inside of the shield. You need to be touching the original ward and the new ward simultaneously. This transfer is instantaneous. The sphere does not get recreated with the new ward as it's center, it retains it's old center. You can split the ward among 2 creatures by touching the creature that already is a ward and touching a new creature.
The sphere consists of humanoid sized triangles with an AC of 20 and 700 hp each. The triangles are immune to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage and resistant to any other damage. When a triangle gets destroyed it regenerates at initiative count 20. A triangle can only be regenerated if it has a neighboring triangle with more than 0 hp. A triangle heals for 100 hp at initiative count 20. When a triangle has no neighboring triangles it gets destroyed. When the sphere loses 50% of all of it's triangles the whole sphere gets destroyed. A dispel magic spell cast at 9th level can also destroy a triangle.
At the end of casting you can choose whether at creation the edge of the sphere cut's through creatures or pushes them inside of the sphere. If you choose to cut through creatures then the creatures with less than 100hp are killed instantly, other creatures are dismembered from a limb chosen by the DM. Anything that is stationary or has no movement speed i.e.: objects, restrained creatures, the ground gets cut through by the edge of the sphere unless the material is indestructible. In that case the object gets pushed into the shield if it's moveable, if the object is not moveable the casting fails.
Teleportation or magical communication into or out of the shield is blocked, the spell that attempted any or both of these effects still consume a spell slot.
* - (a diamond worth at least 500 gp per 500 ft. radius of the sphere which the spell consumes)
