Damage/Effect

You create two separate stone pillars five feet in diameter and 10 feet tall. The pillars must be within 50 feet of each other and created on an unoccupied surface within range. Each pillar has an AC of 17 and 20 hit points. If the pillars are placed on stone, they will look like they are made of the same material; if placed on other materials, they will be black. The pillars disappear when reduced to 0 hit points or when concentration drops. The spell ends automatically if both pillars are destroyed.

When the pillars appear, each creature that stands between the pillars must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 6d6 lightning damage, or half as much damage on a successful save. Also, the movement speed of any creature that fails the save is reduced by half until the end of its next turn. A creature takes the same damage and suffers the same loss of movement speed when it enters the area between the pillars for the first time on a turn or when it ends its turn there.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6, and the pillars gain 5 hit points for each slot level above 3rd.
