A brilliant orb of light streaks from your outstretched hand toward a designated location within range, erupting into a dazzling explosion with a soft roar upon arrival. Each creature within a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must attempt a Dexterity saving throw. Those who fail suffer 8d6 radiant damage, while those who succeed endure half the damage.

The radiant energy emanates around obstacles, illuminating even the darkest corners.

At Higher Levels. Casting this spell with a 4th-level spell slot or higher augments its potency, increasing the damage by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
