You curl your hand into a fist and release a bulb of caustic energy, which bursts with a foul stench at a point within range. Each creature within 20 feet of that point must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 4d6 acid damage, or half as much on a success. Earth within 20 feet of the point becomes a volatile, corrosive sludge for the duration, which is difficult terrain. Additionally, creatures which stand on the sludge for the first time on a turn or start their turn there must succeed on a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d6 acid damage, or half as much on a success.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage from the initial explosion and sludge each increase by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
