Until the end of your turn during which you cast this spell, every 5'x5' space you travel through is engulfed by flames in your wake. These flames count as difficult terrain, costing 2 feet of movement for every foot traveled. Any creature who begins its turn in the fire must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 Fire damage and catches fire; on a failed save, the creature takes half as much damage and does not catch fire. Any creature who moves through the flames takes 1d6 Fire damage for every 5 feet traveled and catches fire. Until someone takes an action to douse the fire, the creature takes 1d6 Fire damage at the start of each of its turns.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the spell will deal an additional 1d6 Fire damage for each slot level above 1st.
