This spell instantly conjures an illusory double of you to a destination you select. The double lasts for the duration. You can use your action to move your illusory double up to your speed and make it gesture, speak, and behave in whatever way you choose. You can see through its eyes and hear through its ears as if you were located where it is. On each of your turns as a bonus action, you can switch from using its senses to using your own, or back again. While you are using its senses, you are blinded and deafened in regard to your own surroundings.
The destination you choose for your illusory double must be known to you, and it must be on the same plane of existence as you. Your familiarity with the destination determines whether the double is successfully conjured in the target location. Consult the teleport table to see where the double appears with the following modification: on a "mishap" result, you take 3d10 psychic damage and the spell fails.
The illusory double can appear to interact with unmoving objects in the environment (for example, you can make your double sit on a chair or climb a rock), but close physical interaction with the illusory double reveals it to be an illusion because things can pass through it. A creature that uses its action to examine the double can determine that it is an illusion with a successful Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC. If a creature discerns the illusion for what it is, the illusory double becomes faint to that creature.
The illusory double is immune to all damage and effects. A successful dispel magic cast on the illusion ends the spell.

Posted Nov 27, 2019I kinda like that you don't have the 500 mile range with this one, but... I guess 500 miles is much further than any of my characters have ever traveled on one plan.
Kinda fun, having the randomness of Teleport destination targeting.

Posted Nov 27, 2019As a long time DM, I can't believe I missed Project Image when I decided to create this spell. But I've seldom played high level campaigns, which I think is why I overlooked it. The "unlimited" range limit is nice, but can be house ruled that Project Image's range increases with higher level slots.
