Based on Glavenus_The_Flame's Casting Core (can be found on DND Beyond homebrew)
You etch a pattern into a gem that once done will allow it to store a number of spell levels equivalent to the gemstone's worth (see below). Once all spells are used the gem turns to dust. You must choose what spells you are storing when you cast this spell and expend spell slots appropriate to their casting. If a spell requires material components, you must have them on your person when casting this spell, if the materials are consumed when the spell is cast, they are instead consumed when you etch the spell into the gem. A creature other than you can tell that there is magic imbued into the gem with a successful DC10 arcana check, learning the identity of the imbued magic with a further arcana check, DC15. When cast as a ritual, this spell requires 4 hours.
Each Dawn after the creation of a gem, roll a d20, on a 1 the gem crumbles to dust.
Spell levels stored:
- 1st : 25gp gem
- 2nd : 50gp gem
- 3rd : 100gp gem
- 4th : 250gp gem
- 5th: 500gp gem
