A cone of purple, blue, and deep red flame erupts from your hand in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in the cone when it appears must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 12d6 fire damage, or half as much on a save. Regardless of saving throw, a creature wearing metal equipment (armor, shields, and weapons) suffers an additional 2d6 fire damage at the end of their turn if they took damage from this spell, after which the equipment cools.
The cone is completely opaque and lasts for the duration, unless you end it, you lose concentration, or until you move from the spot you cast the spell in (forcefully or otherwise); a creature that enters the cone for the first time on a turn, or one that ends its turn there, must make the saving throw as well. On each of your turns, you can use a bonus action to point the cone in a different direction.
