You brandish your wand, and a symbol opens underneath a target you can see. This symbol appears as a triangle, with a circle inside, and a line bisecting both. This symbol is a mystery to you, as you learned this spell from an old, ancient scroll next to the road, but it clearly has some effect on the target. The symbol swallows the target, transporting them to a demiplane that exists as a sort of 2d, pop-up world. This plane carries a sense of power, and that power comes in a distinct form; death. The target must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or its spirit surges across dimensions and reduces down to your stone, which is then mystically engraved with the same symbol on it. This stone, when turned, conjures this creature’s spirit, which can be interrogated and must answer truthfully all of your questions, to a maximum of 10 per use. This stone can only be used once a day. If the target succeeds the saving throw, the target simply take 3d10 psychic damage and becomes incapacitated for a full round, as they will be stuck in the demiplane for a few seconds or so.

* - (A small stone or smooth pebble, and a gemstone of any kind worth at least 500 GP, which the spell consumes.)
