As you hold the rag in your cupped hands up to your lips, liquid flame erupts from your mouth in a line 100 feet long and 5 feet wide in a direction you choose. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 8d8 fire damage on a failed save and is set ablaze for up to 1 minute, or half as much damage on a successful one. Burning creatures take 2d8 fire damage at the start of their turn. Burning liquid also sprays the ground along the line, remaining there for 1 minute. Any creature that enters the area for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 2d8 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
The flames ignite flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 8th level or higher, the initial damage increases by 3d8 for each slot level above 7th.
