You speak a phrase to a target creature you can touch and convince them that they are afflicted by a condition of your choice. The target must succeed a Wisdom saving throw or be convinced that it is Blinded, Deafened, Frightened of a creature you choose, Invisible, Paralyzed, Poisoned, Restrained, or Stunned. Creatures that are immune to being charmed are immune to this spell.
The creature will act as if it has one of those conditions, although other creatures can see that it is not affected by the condition. At the end of its next turn or if it succeeds the saving throw, it realizes that it wasn’t being afflicted by the condition and is immune to this spell for 1 hour.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a 2nd level spell slot or higher, the duration increases as shown on the chart below. At the end of each of its turns, the creature can make another Wisdom saving throw to end the effect. On a success, the creature gets past the condition but doesn’t realize that it was all in its head and must still make the wisdom saving throw at the end of each of its turns during the duration or be afflicted with the condition again.
