Blood Blades

As you are sliced open, you place your hand up to the wound and pull the blood into three blades which fly towards 3 hostile creatures, one of which must be the attacker. Make a ranged spell attack for each blade. On a hit the creature takes 1d12 piercing damage and 4d6 necrotic damage. The creatures hit point maximum is then reduced by half the total necrotic damage taken. If this damage reduces creature to 0 hit points than 2 additional blades shoot out of the body, instantly causing them to fail a death save. Make another ranged spell attack at more hostile creatures per additional blade that dropping a creature to 0 hit points creates. Each of these blades deals 1d10 piercing damage and 2d8 necrotic damage which also reduces the creatures hit point max by half the necrotic damage. If this also drops a creature to 0 hit points, then another blade shoots out of that corpse, instantly giving disadvantage on the next death save the creature makes. Make more ranged spell attacks per each additional blade at this final stage and these blades deal 1d8 piercing damage and 2d4 necrotic damage on a hit. The creatures hit point maximum is then reduced by the total necrotic damage taken.

At Higher Levels. If you cast this spell at 4th level or higher, you take 1d10 necrotic damage that can't be reduced in any way per additional level. 1 new blade is created per additional level and than each blade created with this spell deals an extra amount of necrotic damage equal to the necrotic damage you took.
