You harness the raw power of life and death to bring a deceased creature back to life. This spell functions similarly to the "True Resurrection" spell, with some unique properties. You touch a creature that has been dead for no longer than 200 years and that died for any reason except old age. If the creature's soul is free and willing, the creature is restored to life with all its hit points. However, Bonnie's Rite of Resurgence also allows you to tap into the power of ancestral spirits to aid in the resurrection. When casting the spell, you can choose to call upon the spirits of the deceased ancestors related to the target. If you do so, the spellcaster gains advantage on the spellcasting ability check required for the resurrection.Additionally, when the target is resurrected, they gain temporary hit points equal to half their maximum hit points, representing the bolstering energy provided by the ancestral spirits. These temporary hit points last for 24 hours.Furthermore, if the resurrection is successful, the target gains insights and visions from the spirit world, granting them advantage on Wisdom saving throws for one week as they are imbued with knowledge from beyond. Finally, Bonnie's Rite of Resurgence has a unique ability to restore lost or destroyed body parts. If the creature is missing any body parts essential for its survival, such as limbs or vital organs, those parts are restored upon resurrection, unless they were destroyed beyond magical repair. At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 10th level or higher, the resurrection can be performed on a creature that has been dead for any amount of time, as long as its body is mostly intact. Additionally, the temporary hit points granted upon resurrection increase by 10 for each slot level above 9th.
