You channel dark necrotic energy through your touch, causing it to wither and decay. Make a melee spell attack against a creature you can reach. On a hit, the target takes 5d6 necrotic damage, and must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target suffers from the Withered condition for 1 minute. While Withered, the target has disadvantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws.
At the end of each of its turns, the target can make another Constitution saving throw, ending the effect on a success. Additionally, the target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. If a Greater Restoration spell or similar magic is cast on the target, the effect ends instantly.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
