Control Smoke

You choose a cloud of smoke that you can see within range and that fits within a 5-foot cube. You affect it in one of the following ways:

• You instantaneously expand the cloud of smoke 5 feet in one direction, provided that there is space for the gas to expand.

• You instantaneously make the smoke disappear within the cube.

• You make the smoke thicker not allowing people to see through it or thinner making it so that people can see through it.

• You change its color. The change lasts for 1 hour.

• You cause simple shapes—such as the vague form of a creature, an inanimate object, or a location—to appear within the cloud of smoke and animate as you like. The shapes last for 1 hour.

• You make the cloud of smoke poisonous and any creature that breathes within the smoke takes 1d8 poison damage per round that they spend within the cube. Creatures that do not need to breathe are not affected by the poison. This change lasts for 1 hour.

If you cast this spell multiple times, you can have up to three of its non-instantaneous effects active at a time, and you can dismiss such an effect as an action.
