You channel strange necromantic magic into and out of the corpse of a Medium humanoid you can see within reach. When you do so, up to 4 other non-humanoid, non-celestial, non-fiend creatures that are within 50 ft of you must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 2d4 necrotic damage and be cursed to have disadvantage on Wisdom saving throws and ability checks for the next 10 minutes on a failure, or half as much damage and only be cursed for the next minute on a success. If at least 2 of the affected creatures fail the saving throw, the touched corpse immediately rises up as a ghoul with 30 hit points that has a cleaver (longsword) that it can use alongside the rest of its melee attacks. This ghoul also has advantage on attack rolls against cursed creatures.
At Higher levels. If you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can animate one additional Humanoid corpse per spell slot above 3rd.
