You summon a celestial ally to aid you in combat or other task, appearing with the physical form of any creature of your choosing (given that the creature can fit within a 5ft cube). The celestial ally can speak in basic, low-intelligence common. The celestial's characteristics depend on your alignment:
- Good-aligned characters summon a celestial being of their choice that does 1d8 damage. It fights animatedly alongside the summoner, following the summoner's commands as best as it can and says an occasional encouraging phrase. AC 16, HP 2d8.
- Neutral-aligned characters summon a celestial creature of their choice that does 1d6 damage. It assists in battle under your instruction. AC 14, HP 2d6.
- Evil-aligned characters summon a celestial spirit of their choice that does 1d4 damage. It begrudgingly follows instructions, though it grumbles the entire time. AC 12, HP 2d4.
The celestial ally appears in an unoccupied space within range, following your verbal commands to the best of its abilities. It remains for the duration until it drops to 0 hit points, or until you dismiss it as an action. The celestial ally rolls its own initiative and takes its own turns. It cannot harm innocents even if commanded to and is unable to be charmed including by the summoner. It can only be summoned into an unoccupied space 5 feet squared, within range.
To summon your celestial ally, you must recite the Prayer of Light:
"Blessed be the heavens, radiant and pure,
In your grace, we seek strength to endure.
Celestial spirits, hear our plea,
Descend to aid us, set our spirits free"
