You touch a willing humanoid or beast, permanently altering its physical form to grant it an additional ability akin to those found in other creatures of its kind. The additional ability must be chosen from the list of traits possessed by other humanoid or beast creatures of its kind, as determined by the Dungeon Master. For example, you could grant a humanoid the "Relentless Endurance" trait typically possessed by half-orcs.
Once the additional ability is granted, it becomes a permanent part of the creature's physiology, and cannot be removed except by the use of powerful magic such as a Wish spell.
A creature can only sustain a number of modifications equal to their Constitution modifier. If this spell is cast additional times on a modified creature, it suffers a random detrimental mutation and the spell fails.
