Blood Fog summons a dense, swirling mist tinged with the hue of fresh blood from a self-inflicted wound, enveloping you in a shroud of obscuring vapor. This eerie mist extends in a 20-foot radius from the point where the spell is cast, concealing all within it from outside view. The blood fog provides heavy obscuration, making it difficult for creatures outside the fog to see those within it. Creatures inside the fog have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks to hide. While within the blood fog, you harness the essence of the mist to meld with the shadows, granting you the ability to use a bonus action to teleport to a location within the fog where you can see. Following the teleportation, you can make a melee attack against a target also within the mist. This attack benefits from the element of surprise, granting you advantage on the attack roll. The casting of this spell requires the sacrifice of your own vitality, dealing 1d4 necrotic damage to yourself as part of the material component. This self-inflicted wound cannot be reduced or negated by any means.
