Blood Wager

Blood Wager is an audacious display of blood magic, where you enter into a magical contract with a chosen target, betting on your own prowess against their abilities. The wager is sealed with blood, setting the terms of a contest that grants the target an edge over you in exchange for a potential boon or bane determined by fate itself. Upon activating Blood Wager, you select a target within range and outline the terms of your challenge (e.g., "If I can withstand your onslaught for four rounds..."). You must clearly state the conditions of the wager upon casting. The target gains a temporary advantage related to the nature of the challenge (DM's discretion based on the wager's terms). The magic imbues the target with a temporary advantage, such as enhanced accuracy or resistance to your magic, tilting the odds in their favor as the bet takes hold. Should you meet the wager's conditions or decide to conclude the bet prematurely, you can "cash out" using a bonus action. This act invokes the roll of a mystical d12, each face laden with potential outcomes that range from fortuitous to slightly mischievous, reflecting the unpredictable nature of gambling with the arcane. 

1-2: A minor hex afflicts you, hindering your next spell or attack.

3: A distracting echo causes you to lose focus, forfeiting your next bonus action.

4: A whimsical magical effect occurs nearby, determined by the DM.

5-6: A surge of energy restores one of your expended spell slots (3rd level or lower).

7: A protective aura grants you temporary hit points equal to half your max HP.

8: A burst of adrenaline increases your movement speed by 15 feet for 1 hour.

9: A cloak of foresight gives you advantage on saving throws for 10 minutes.

10: An aura of inspiration bolsters an ally within 30 feet with the benefits of the Bless spell for 1 minute.

11: You are shrouded in invisibility for 1 minute, which ends if you attack or cast a spell.

12: You receive the boon of a short rest or regain an expended class feature.
