Basic Gravity Tether

As an action, you can touch an object or creature and create gravitational tether between them and a surface, other than the ground, up to 30 ft away from them. If the target is not inanimate, make a melee spell attack against it. If successful the target will begin "Falling" towards the tethered surface as if under the effects of normal gravity. An unwilling target of this spell is affected for a number of rounds equal to the caster's spell ability modifier minus the target's Constitution modifier (Minimum 1); a willing target is affected for a number of rounds equal to the caster's spell ability modifier plus the target's Constitution modifier. While falling, the creature can make a Dexterity saving throw to try and control the fall and to "land" on their feet without taking damage(Willing targets have advantage on this save). If the target fails their Dex save they "land" Prone and take fall damage as normal. Once landed, for the duration of the spell, the tethered surface is the ground for the target.

When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can increase the tetherable distance by 10ft per level of the spell slot used.
