THIS SPELL CANNOT BE LEARNED, ONLY FOUND AS A SCROLL OR OTHER TREASURE UP TO DM DISCRETION.
You undertake an intricate ritual over the course of 8 hours, culminating in a touch that instigates a controlled aging process in a willing or incapacitated dragon. The targeted dragon ages a number of years relative to its current life phase and the level of the spell slot used:
- Wyrmling: Ages 6 months plus an additional 6 months for each level of the spell slot used.
- Young: Ages 2 years plus an additional 2 years for each level of the spell slot used.
- Adult: Ages 10 years plus an additional 10 years for each level of the spell slot used.
- Ancient: Ages 25 years plus an additional 25 years for each level of the spell slot used.
For example, if you use a 1st-level spell slot on a Wyrmling, it would age 6 months and if you use a 7th-level spell slot on an Ancient it would age 25 years.
Once the dragon progresses to the next life phase (e.g., from Wyrmling to Young), you cannot use 1st or 2nd-level spell slots to continue aging it further. Similarly, once the dragon progresses to the Adult phase, you cannot use 3rd or 4th-level spell slots, and once it reaches the Ancient phase, you cannot use 5th or 6th-level spell slots.
You may choose to expend all available spell slots when casting this spell, using the highest-level spell slot available to you, increasing the dragons age by however many spell slots used when casting.
This spell has no effect on the mental aging of the dragon, only increasing its physical age, and it has no effect on Dragons at the end of their natural lifespan or have reached their maximum age, which is determined by DM. Additionally, using this spell on a dragon can potentially alter its physical abilities as determined by the DM.
