You target a single creature within 120 feat, they must make save against your spell save DC using their lowest ability saving score. If the target has two ability scores which are equally their lowest, the DM decides which save they will attempt. On a success, you take 3d6 psychic damage. On a failure a swirling wreath of magic appears around their head. The color of the wreath is determined by the type of save they attempted. 

While the wreath is upon them, that ability score is reduced by your proficiency modifier (but no lower than 1) for one minute and suffer one of the following effects, dependent on which saving throw they attempted

  • Constitution (black): The target is poisoned for 1 minute and may not use melee attacks. 
  • Strength (green): The target is silenced for 1 minute. 
  • Dexterity (yellow): The target is knocked prone, and may not fly, swim, or burrow for 1 minute
  • Wisdom (red): The target is considered "berserk" for 1 minute, and must use their movement and actions to attack the closest creature to them with melee attacks
  • Charisma (white): The target is charmed by you for 1 minute
  • Intelligence (blue): The target is silenced for 1 minute, and may not use ranged attacks. 

The target may repeat their save at the end of each of their turns, ending both effects on a success. You do not take psychic damage if they succeed their save after their initial failure.
