You conjure a small Black Hole at a point you choose within range, is anchored to that point and cannot be moved by either a outside force or the caster. The Black Hole starts as a 5-foot sphere. If a creature comes into direct contact with the Black Hole, it takes 100d10 force damage. This damage is sufficient to destroy nearly any creature, ensuring a minimum of 1000 damage, signifying the immense power of the Black Hole. Each creature within 5 feet of the Black Hole must succeed on a DC 5 Strength saving throw or be sucked into the void. Creatures that make direct contact with the Black Hole are automatically sucked into the void. The Black Hole lasts for up to 30 seconds (5 rounds) or until concentration is broken or the caster dispels it.

At the start of each round, the Black Hole grows by 5 feet in every direction, and creatures within 5 feet of the edge must make a Strength saving throw with an increased DC, which grows by 5 each round since the casting (DC 10 in the second round, DC 15 in the third round, etc., up to a maximum of DC 20).

If this spell is maintained for the full 5 rounds, the caster loses control, causing the black hole to grow exponentially and eventually swallow the plane of existence they are on, dealing 100d10 force damage to everything on that plane.

Containment Attempts: If the caster loses control they can cast the following to contain it.

Prismatic Wall can be used to only temporarily contain the black hole after the caster has lost control. The caster of Prismatic Wall rolls 1d4 to determine the duration of containment:

  • 1: Hours
  • 2: Days
  • 3: Weeks
  • 4: Months

The caster also rolls 2d12 to determine the specific duration within the chosen time frame. Example: Rolls 1d4 for a 3, rolls 2d12 for 23 representing the players have 23 weeks to find another solution or cast another Prismatic Wall.

9th level Imprisonment

  • Hedged Prison - This will permanently contain the black hole in a tiny demiplane that is warded against teleportation and planar travel. The demiplane can be a labyrinth, a cage, a tower, or any similar confined structure or area of your choice. The special component for this version of the spell is a miniature representation of the prison made from jade.
  • Minimus Containment - Can be used to permanently contain the Black Hole by shrinking it to a height of 1 inch and imprisoning it inside a gemstone or similar object. Light can pass through the gemstone normally (allowing you to view it inside), but nothing else can pass through, even by means of teleportation or planar travel. The gemstone can’t be cut or broken while the spell remains in effect. The special component for this version of the spell is a large, transparent gemstone, such as a corundum, diamond, or ruby.

9th level Wish - State your wish to the DM as precisely as possible. The DM has great latitude in ruling what occurs in such an instance; the greater the wish, the greater the likelihood that something goes wrong. This spell might simply fail, the effect you desire might only be partly achieved, or you might suffer some unforeseen consequence as a result of how you worded the wish.

9th level Time Stop - You briefly stop the flow of time for everyone but yourself. It is inferred that in this situation, you only stop the flow of time in an area around the Black Hole, but this is up to the DM.
