You rip a tear through the air at a chosen location within range, which offers a momentary glimpse into the cosmos. An icy boulder thunders through the hole towards another location in range, trailed by a jet of blue light. The boulder crashes into the first creature or object in its path, exploding for 2d6 cold damage in a 30-foot radius sphere around the impact. Targets in a 10-foot radius sphere around the impact are also hit by the boulder itself and take 5d6 additional bludgeoning damage. Targets that succeed on a Dexterity saving throw take half damage from both sources.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the cold and bludgeoning damage both increase by 1d6 for each slot level above 4th.
