In the blink of an eye, you utter a commanding word and gesture with a confident hand, focusing your will upon a nearby beast. The enchantment takes hold instantly, compelling the creature to interpose itself between you and danger. The beast within 5 feet of you is commanded to take the incoming attack instead of you, its mind momentarily overridden by the force of your enchantment.
The air shimmers with a faint, mystical glow as the spell takes effect, the beast's eyes glazing over with a temporary subjugation to your will. The defensive instinct of the beast is harnessed, its body moving with surprising swiftness to shield you from harm.
* - (A tuft of fur from the beast, a small iron bracer, and a drop of honey placed on a miniature shield.)
