You unleash a barrage of menacing threats laced with subtle enchantments at a creature you can see within range. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw if it can hear and understand you. On a successful save, the spell ends. On a failed save, the target becomes frightened of you for the duration.
While the target is frightened in this way, you can use a bonus action on each of your turns to issue a command to the target, as per the command spell. The target can choose to obey or disobey the command. At the end of each of your turns, you can deal 1d10 force damage + 5 to the target. If the target obeyed your command during its last turn, the target is no longer frightened and the spell ends immediately.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the force damage increases by 1d10 for every two spell slot levels above the 3rd.
