You conjure a bolt of chaotic energy from the void and hurl it at a creature or object within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 force damage and must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the target is disoriented by the eldritch energy, causing it to have disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.

The spell’s damage increases by one die when you reach certain levels:

  • 5th level (2d10),
  • 11th level (3d10),
  • 17th level (4d10).
