Choose a flat, solid surface you can see within range, such as a stone wall, wooden floor or glass window. You create a reflective, mirror-like image upon the surface, choosing the size of the image, to a maximum of 30x30 ft. While maintaining concentration on this spell, if a creature is able to see themselves in the reflective surface, you can immediately create an illusory effect within the mirror to frighten them, such as a scary, ravenous monster behind them, a magical ball of fire heading straight for them or make it seem like their hair and teeth are falling out. The creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the creature becomes frightened of the reflective illusion and must use its next action to dash away from the illusion and remain at least 30 ft. away from it while it remains there. On a success, the creature knows the effect is an illusion and is unaffected.
Alternatively, you can create an effect within the reflective illusion that might appease the creature, such as them being showered with gold coins, making them appear to be wearing exquisite clothing or have a dragon's head appear at their feet with a bloody sword in their hand, as though they just killed the beast. The creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the creature is charmed by you whilst you maintain concentration on the spell. On a success, the creature determines that it is an illusion and is unaffected.
