You invoke the dormant energies in a recently slain creature, releasing it in an explosion of blood, gore, bone and necrotic energy. Each creature in a 10-foot-radius sphere centered on the corpse must make a Dexterity saving throw. A target takes 4d6 necrotic damage, 4d6 piercing damage, and is frightened until the end of your next turn on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one and is not frightened.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3th level or higher, the necrotic damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.
*When casting at 4th level or higher, you may target a slain creature up to size category huge, increasing the piercing damage by 2d6. When casting at 6th level or higher, you may target a slain creature of up to size category gargantuan, increasing the piercing damage by 4d6.
* - (a corpse of a small, medium or large creature slain within the last hour, which the spell consumes*)
