the wretched and vile who were crucified for the most heinous and blasphemous of crimes where whipped with ropes coated in thorns and dressed in thorns drenched in their own blood as punishment and a permanent marking of their wicked deeds. it was through torment and sacrifice that the briars of sin were unleashed, the malice, guilt, unending pain, and wicked hearts of those spurned by society and torn apart by their own misdeeds were what caused the crimson thorns to lash out any who come near. taking their own blood to bleed the faultless, weak, and innocent around them. It seems anything touched by the blasphemous is tainted beyond ruin, and it is best to keep far from those dressed in thorns of blood.
stab your weapon into the ground, causing crimson red blood drenched thorns to unleash from your weapon, this deals 1d8+spellcast mod damage to you, and entangles all enemies within 15 feet of you, dealing 4d4+spellcast mod slashing damage. if any of the dice roll a 4, the enemy is inflicted with bleed, dealing another 1d4 (no spellcast mod) damage to them.
note: bleed d4s cannot proc more bleed. and they do not get damage bonus from any outside sources.
at higher levels the damage to you and the enemies increase.
level 5: 2d8 self damage, 8d4 thorns damage, 2d4 bleed damage
level 11: 3d8 self damage, 12d4 thorns damage, 3d4 bleed damage
level 17: 4d8 self damage, 16d4 thorns damage, 4d4 bleed damage.
