You and up to eight willing creatures  link hands in a circle and are transported to a different world within the Material Plane. You can specify a target destination in general terms, such as the city of Sharn in Eberron, Waterdeep in the Forgotten Realms, or the city of Ptolus in the world of Praemal, and you appear in or near that destination. For instance, if you aim for Waterdeep, you might arrive at the gates of Waterdeep, the Market of Waterdeep, or at a dock viewing the great city across the Waterdeep Harbor, at the GM's discretion.

Alternatively, if you know the sigil sequence of a teleportation circle in the target world, this spell can take you directly to that circle. Should the teleportation circle prove too small to hold all the transported creatures, they appear in the closest unoccupied spaces next to the circle.

Additionally, this spell can be used to exile an unwilling creature to another world. Choose a creature within your reach and make a melee spell attack against it. On a hit, the target must succeed on a Charisma saving throw or be transported to a random location in the world you specify. A creature so banished must find its own way back to the original world.

If this spell is cast on any plane other than the Material Plane, the spell has no effect.
