For the spell's duration, one target creature you can see becomes frightened of you. Additionally, whenever that creature begins its turn within 10 feet of you, it must succeed on a wisdom saving throw or take 4d8 psychic damage. The spell's effects end for a creature if that creature succeeds 3 consecutive saving throws.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the range of the damaging effect increases by 5 feet, and the damage increases by 2d8 for each slot level above 6th. When casting this spell at 9th level, the spell can target 2 additional targets.
