Conductive Jolt

You conjure a bolt of lightning in your hand and send it towards a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 lightning damage and as a bonus action, you can attempt to make the bolt leap to another target within 30ft of the first. Make another ranged spell attack, against a different target, using the original target as the point of origin. On a hit the new target also takes 1d8 lightning damage.

Both instances of this spell’s damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).
