You create a powerful magical contract between two willing creatures, binding them to terms agreed upon during the casting of the spell. Both creatures must willingly agree to the terms and be present for the entire casting time.

Terms and Conditions. The terms of the contract must be clearly stated and agreed upon by both parties. These terms can include tasks to be completed, services to be rendered, or any conditions that both creatures willingly accept. The contract can be as simple or complex as desired, but it must be comprehensible to both parties.

Magical Enforcement. If either party breaks the terms of the contract, they are subjected to a magical penalty determined at the time of casting. This penalty can be one of the following, chosen by the caster:

  • The offending party takes 8d10 psychic damage.
  • The offending party is cursed, suffering disadvantage on all ability checks and saving throws for 24 hours.
  • The offending party is paralyzed for 1 hour.
  • The contract can include provisions for resolving disputes or ending the contract amicably.

Recording the Contract. The terms are inscribed magically on the provided parchment, which then glows with a faint, magical aura. Both parties must sign the parchment, finalizing the contract. The parchment is consumed by the spell, and the terms are magically enforced.

Ending the Contract. The contract can be ended under the following conditions:

  • Both parties agree to nullify the contract willingly, and the caster ends the spell.
  • A Wish spell or similar powerful magic can break the contract.
  • The terms of the contract are fulfilled, thereby ending the spell.

The magical contract created by this spell is binding and cannot be altered once the spell is complete, except by mutual agreement or the Wish.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, you can include one additional party in the contract for each slot above 6th. Each additional party must be present and willing during the casting.
