Arcanovirus

You gesture towards a creature and attempt to infect them with an arcanovirus. The target must make a Constitution saving throw and are infected on a failed save. 18 seconds after being infected the target takes 2d8 necrotic damage and are not infected anymore. If an infected creature is within 10ft of a creature you can take a bonus action to cast this spell on them without expending a spell slot or having the creature be within range. This spell has no effect on undead or constructs.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd.
