You touch a willing corporeal creature, transforming it and all its gear into a boneless, fluid, oozelike form. While in this form, the target gains the following benefits and limitations:

  • Movement: The target can squeeze through spaces as small as 2 inches in diameter. It also gains a swim speed equal to its walking.
  • Defensive Abilities: The target is immune to poison, polymorph effects, and the stunned condition. It can’t be flanked and is not subject to critical hits.
  • Breathing: The target can remain submerged in water indefinitely without needing to breathe.
  • Armor and Attacks: The target’s armor, including natural armor, becomes worthless, and it loses any armor class bonuses from armor. However, bonuses from size, Dexterity, and deflection still apply, as do armor bonuses from force effects (such as the mage armor spell). The target cannot attack or cast spells that require verbal, somatic, material, or focus components.
  • Magic and Supernatural Abilities: The target loses all supernatural abilities and its magic items cease functioning while it remains in the amorphous form.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the duration increases by 1 minute for each slot level above 3rd.
