You inscribe magical warding sigils on a surface or an object, creating a protective barrier against supernatural entities. Choose a 10-foot square area or a single object within range. For the duration, creatures of aberration, fiend, undead, or celestial type have disadvantage on attack rolls against anyone within the warded area or targeting the warded object. Additionally, any such creature must make a Wisdom saving throw when entering the warded area or touching the warded object for the first time on a turn or take 2d6 radiant damage.
If a creature affected by this spell has an Intelligence score of 4 or lower or does not understand the concept of wards and protective symbols, it automatically fails on this saving throw.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the radiant damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.
