- This spell may only be cast using a Lantern of Loss as the focus.
- As an additional cost to cast this spell, you must expend a number of souls equal to the level that this spell is being cast at.
- You cut a rift into the shadow weave, flooding the area with Azrael's Black Flame that ripples outward from you. Each creature within 60 feet of you must succeed on a Charisma saving throw or take 5d6 psychic damage, as well as 5d6 force damage, and is inflicted with the Devoid condition for the duration. A creature that succeeds on its saving throw takes half as much damage and isn't inflicted with the Devoid condition.
- This spell cannot be counterspelled using Mystra's weave using a spell slot of a lower level than the level this spell was cast at.
- The area effected by this spell becomes divorced from the weave for the duration, putting it under the effects of an antimagic field for the purposes of spells of a lower level than the level that this spell was cast at that are cast using Mystra's Weave.
- At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the damage of each type increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 6th.
