Vines of Flame

You alter a willing creature, causing 2-inch long red and
black spikes to sprout through the skin all over the body. If a
creature touches the target or hits it with a melee attack
while within 5 feet, the attacking creature takes 1d4 Piercing
damage and 1d8 Fire damage.
If the target of the spell has the Grappled condition at the
start of its turn, it deals the damage to the creature that is
grappling it.

At Higher Levels.

When you cast this spell using a spell
slot of 3rd level or higher, the Piercing damage increases by
1d4 and the fire damage increases by 1d8 for each slot
level above 2nd.
