Celestial Vortex

A shaft of light 5 feet in diameter pierces the material plane, striking a point you choose within range, then blossoms into a whirling sphere of celestial light. Each creature within a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a Charisma saving throw. A target takes 8d6 damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one. If cast using the Careful Spell metamagic trait, the damage is reduced to 6d6, and all allies protected by Careful Spell are healed for half of the damage done.

The radiant energy spreads around corners.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
